Gervinho produces shocking miss of the season contender

Published 1 Comments

Things never quite worked out for Gervinho during his time in England.

The ex-Arsenal man put in a number of poor performances for the north London outfit and was eventually shipped out to Serie A.

However Gervinho, now at Roma, has actually been in fine form for the Italian giants this season. His side sit second in the table and remain the only unbeaten team in Italy's elite division in this campaign.

Scoring and assisting goals, Gervinho has played a key role in Roma's progress in 2013.

However, as Roma cruised to a 4-0 win over Catania today, Gervinho reminded Arsenal fans just what they're (not) missing.

With the goal gaping, Gervinho incredibly struck the post when it looked easier to score. It must be noted though that the ex-Gunner did in-fact get himself on the scoresheet, which may just make up for the woeful miss that can be seen above!
