7. Manuel Neuer

Manuel Neuer has only been playing first-team football for around seven years, but he earns a place in this list thanks to his stunning performances for Schalke, then Bayern Munich and Germany.

The 6ft 4in shot-stopper is ultra-reliable, commanding and always maintains concentration - even though his club and country often dominate matches.

At times he's reminiscent of the great Peter Schmeichel - you'll often see him produce the same star jump-esque saves - and the scary thing is he's not even reached his peak years yet.
