What's that on the horizon? Ah, it's 2014! Good to see you dear friend! Do you bring with you the promise of a better world, where we all get along and love each other?
No? Pretty much the same old guff? Ah well, that will have to do.
Before we greet the new year like an office co-worker you've bumped into in the high street while shopping with our girlfriend (who wants 30 seconds of strained interaction, unless it's in the bedroom?) it's only right we look back on the year that will go down in the history books quite simply as 2013.
We'll leave all the wars and murders to those who deal with that kind of thing, y'know, 'real' websites and instead focus on the sporting angle of things.
Over the last 12 months there's been animal pitch invasions, flashing fans and possibly the greatest piece of sports commentary of all time*.
And what better way is there to commemorate the year than via the medium of short clip posted to a video sharing website?
What's that? There is a better way to commemorate the year? Not interested, just watch the damn videos will you. Don't know why I bother....
Have a scroll through our selection and leave your choice for best sport video from 2013 below.
*Actually from 1994, but we only saw it this year and that counts, alright?
Blatter v Ronaldo
Like a drunken uncle at a wedding but sweatier and more boorish, Sepp Blatter did the impossible when he managed to make himself even more unpopular by slagging off Cristiano Ronaldo, saying he was the type of player to spend too much time 'at the hairdressers'. Corruption is fine, laying into ol' CR7 aint, it seems.
We all know a football fan like this, don't we eh? Strange, whining voice, peadophile dress sense, a stale rolly clinging for dear life to his fingertips and pissed out of his noggin bellowing strange nonsense.
You don't know a fan like this? Nah, me neither.
Who would have thought the best medium to capture Ronaldinho on was a flickbook? Somehow this works, and brilliantly. It's worth seeking out the tributes to Messi and Ronaldo as well.
David Ginola, the former Spurs man with the sophisticated dress sense and hair like a silk kimono that's been placed in front of a fan, demonstrates his puerile side. Even better, Raphael Honigstein does exactly the same thing without realising he's on air.
Angry Arsenal fan
Tim Payton, John Cross, Ivan Gazidis, Bagpuss, the residents of Toy Town and Kiera Knightly in Love Actually all get it in the neck as this Arsenal fan aims his machine gun of anger and hate at, well, pretty much everyone. He's been proven nothing but correct so far this season as well. CAZORLA'S KNACKERED PEOPLE! WHEN WILL YOU LEARN!
Spurs at Halloween
List of people you don't want at a Halloween party. Alan Shearer. Ben Shepherd. Buzz Killington. Add to that list Jan Vertonghen. Spurs get in the scary spirit, but the Belgian is having none of it.
Bronby fans are the best
Phwoarrrr. A Bloody women. Who likes football. Girls do just wanna have fun.
Best commentary ever
Don't let the quality of the footage, the style of the kits, or the fact this footage is dated 1994 fool you, this video is from 2013. Promise. Quite simply the best commentary ever.
Will Smith horrorshow penalty
He's fought off aliens and acted alongside Kevin James, so you would have thought Will Smith could do pretty much anything. He can't. He's got a lot to learn.
Lance v Radiohead
We believe the kids call this a mashup. Unconfirmed reports suggest we don't know what that means. Either way, Lance Armstrong's confession to Oprah Winfrey just got a whole lot better.
Physio strikes back
This Brazilian physio really didn't want his side to concede, so took a rather drastic course of action. Luckily he's a pretty handy sprinter too.
Falcao: Futsal genius
It's too difficult to pick just one piece of Falcao (no, not that one) genius so we've gone for the easy option and picked this compilation. This guy is an absolute genius.
Does anyone know what a pine maarten is? We don't, but judging by this video they survive on a diet of angry sports crowds and Swiss footballer blood. What a mystical creature.
Man v Dog
Another animal based clip. But this time involving a footballer hurling a dog off the pitch. The players aren't happy, nor is the ref who sends the brute off.
Two ball innings
We've saved the best for last. Ladies and gentleman, we give you the greatest cricket innings of all time.
