Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believes the insatiable form of Luis Suarez will prove beneficial for the club when the transfer window opens again at the beginning of next month.
Suarez has been quite brilliant for the Reds this term with his 19 goals in 12 appearances propelling him to the top of the Premier League's goalscoring charts. The Uruguay international has scored 10 times in his last four outings and is only four shy of his total tally for the last campaign.
The forward once again played a starring display for Liverpool in their most recent outing and was able to celebrate his lucrative new contract with a brace in the 3-1 victory against Cardiff at Anfield on Saturday.
Suarez put pen to paper on deal worth £200,000-a-week last Friday in a clear statement of intent for the club. The willingness of the player coupled with his breathtaking form, says Rodgers, will encourage other players of a similar standing to pursue a move to Liverpool.
"Good players want to play with good players," he told the official club website.
"When you've got a world-class player like Suarez, and we've got a number of other young players improving, our selling point is the team and the philosophy.
"Our success here will be based around the team and how we work. Certainly when you've got players of that esteem - Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez, that ilk - top players would like to play with those players."
