3. Pep Guardiola

Pep Guardiola has only been a head coach with a top-flight team since 2008 - but his extraordinary achievements since then earn him third place on this list.

The former midfielder won an astonishing six trophies in his debut season with his beloved Barcelona. Three years later he would end his spell at the Camp Nou having won 14 major honours - an unprecedented tally in such a short period of time.

The notion that any coach could have won the same number of trophies with that Barcelona team is ridiculous. Guardiola deserves a huge amount of credit for taking over a Barcelona side in disarray, restoring order and making his unique mark on the team.

The Catalan is now in charge of European champions Bayern Munich.
