Radamel Falcao to Chelsea

Football News

Could it finally happen? The Colombian international was first linked to Stamford Bridge around the time Chelsea bought Fernando Torres.

Then Falcao single handedly took the Blues apart in the Super Cup final, and Torres continued to look a shadow of his former self.

Speculation ramped up in 2012, and hasn't ceased this season despite Falcao's summer move to Monaco.

Chelsea clearly need a striker - Mourinho has admitted as much - but who will they go for? They'll have to spend big to guarantee an improvement on Torres/Ba/Eto'o and Falcao will cost £50m+.

Monaco only ever looked like a temporary pit-stop, whether that's before a move to Real Madrid or Chelsea is anybody's guess.

But Mourinho's relationship with Jorge Mendes - Falcao's agent - makes us think this could be titling Chelsea's way.

Predicted price: £50m
