Top 5: Potential mega-money transfers in 2014 (6)

Sergio Aguero to Real Madrid

Only Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are better, according to Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini.

So how about Aguero, Gareth Bale and Ronaldo in the same team? The Argentine international has been linked with Real Madrid, who may now look to Aguero following Luis Suarez's commitment to Liverpool.

Only Suarez has more Premier League goals than 13-goal Aguero so far this season, and the former-Atletico Madrid forward is back to the kind of form that helped City win their first Premier League title in 2012.

There's no financial incentive in leaving Manchester City, but Aguero may feel the opportunity to play for Real Madrid is too good to turn down.

City fans must hope this is not the case. If they want him, the Bernabeu giants will have to spend big, but they've no problem doing that.

Predicted price: £60m
