Premier League: Best strikers of 2013 (3)

4th place: Robin van Persie

Premier League goals in 2013: 17

Undoubtedly the Dutchman would have scored more in 2013 had he not suffered a string of disastrous injuries recently.

That may have kept his tally down to 'just' seven in the Premier League this season, but since he joined the Red Devils, it is undeniable that Van Persie's goals - and the importance of them - have taken his new to a different level.

He scored the goal that clinched the title against Aston Villa last season and curled a free-kick winner against rivals Manchester City too - there's no better way to endear yourself to the Old Trafford faithful.

Having been back-to-back Premier League leading goalscorer over the past two seasons, few doubt that he will be back to his best in 2014.
