Liverpool are facing a battle for Mohamed Salah after the player's agent revealed that interest in the player is strong.
Brendan Rodgers was believed to be on the verge of sealing a deal for the player dubbed the 'Egyptian Messi', with former team Mohamed Zika claiming the player was 99% certain to join Liverpool in January.
"Yes, I am 99 per cent sure this will happen," Zika told Egyptian television.
But the player's representative Sascha Empacher insists that the race is still on for the 21-year-old with Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea all believed to be interested.
Empacher told TMW: “There is strong interest from the Premier League, this is true, but I will not discuss names at the time.
“The percentage of his chances of leaving Switzerland? It is currently not possible to make it. At this time the interest comes mainly from Great Britain, Spain and Germany.”
Salah has made a strong impression amongst English clubs in 2013, scoring against both Chelsea and Tottenham in European competition.
So far the forward has netted 10 goals for FC Basel and convincing Liverpool manager Rodgers to make him one of his main transfer targets for the January transfer window.
Basel are believed to be willing to consider offers of around £15m.
