Did everyone have a lovely Christmas? Well, isn't that nice. But put down that mine pie and stay away from the leftover turkey as there are far more important things to attend to this Boxing Day.

As ever there is a packed programme of festive fixtures across the league spectrum, with the most eye-catching of these being the clash between Manchester City and Liverpool this evening. Liverpool enjoyed the privilege of being leaders on Christmas Day, but City can move ahead of them with victory at the Etihad Stadium.

Arsenal could also end the day back on top of the pile and anything other than three points for Arsene Wenger's side at struggling West Ham would be viewed as an opportunity missed indeed.

The Gunners have impressed so far this term but still look a bit short on options to maintain a genuine title tilt, so the January transfer window offers a chance for Wenger to really strengthen were he needs it most.

Understandably the Boxing Day papers are filled with speculation regarding the movers and shakers in the imminent transfer window, and here is the pick of the latest rumours...
