Ramires has urged Chelsea to sign Manchester United target Nemanja Matic in January, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Benfica midfielder has been heavily linked with a return to the Premier League, since joining the Portuguese giants in 2011.
Matic was sold by Chelsea as part of the deal that brought David Luiz to Stamford Bridge, and now Ramires wants to be reunited with the Serbian international in west London.
"If it depends on me then I would sign Matic on January 1," the Brazilian told O'Jogo. "I’m convinced with him in the team, he would help us our obtain our objectives."
However, Jose Mourinho could face competition for the Benfica star's signature, after it was reported by the Daily Mirror earlier this month that Manchester United are also interested in Matic.
David Moyes is eager to add a creative midfielder to his Old Trafford ranks in January, after missing out on the high profile signing of Cesc Fabregas during the summer.
As a result, the Red Devils endured a disappointing start to the 2013/14 campaign, and are now playing catch-up as they bid to defend their Premier League title.
