Fulham have confirmed the two-month loan signing of Clint Dempsey from Seattle Sounders, during the MLS winter break.
The 30-year-old first signed for Fulham from New England Revolution in 2007, and was a fans' favourite at the club - scoring 60 goals in 225 appearances over a five-and-a-half year career.
He was voted Fulham’s 2011/12 Player of the Season by the fans for a second consecutive term before signing for Tottenham Hotspur in August 2012.
Fulham attacking midfielder Dempsey had been linked with a return to a host of different Premier League sides - but decided to return to west London.
Dempsey said: "It's great to be back. This has always felt like my home in Europe and I'm just excited to be back and be a part of this team."
Fulham's next match is against Norwich where the American will hope to make an immediate impact.
Dempsey has scored just one goal in nine appearances for the Seattle Sounders since returning ton his homeland.
