As England make their way to another appearance at a World Cup finals next year in Brazil, it may be the last time we see the so-called 'Golden Generation' at their best, with Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard and Ashley Cole's long careers all slowly coming to an end.

England need the youngsters and the future will be bright if those youngsters can step up to the big time. Roy Hodgson needs to put his faith in his youngsters at some stage if England are to get better.

With that in mind, here we look at five young stars who could be on the plane to Brazil and also become fixtures in the England side for years to come...
