Premier League: Team of Boxing Day (11)

Published 6 Comments

Loic Remy

Loic Remy has been the spearhead of the Newcastle attack since he joined the Magpies on loan from QPR in the summer.

His form has been fantastic, and this continued in the hammering of Stoke on Boxing Day where he scored a brace which could easily have been a hat-trick.

Newcastle won the game 5-1, and even though tougher games will come at St James' Park, it was a fantastic late Christmas present for Alan Pardew's lads.

That was Remy's ninth and tenth goals of the season, and if he can carry on banging in the goals during the second half of the season then Alan Pardew won't stop smiling.
