Arsenal will have Jack Wilshere returning to their squad after serving his two-match suspension for an obscene gesture during Arsenal’s game against Manchester City, while Aaron Ramsey will miss out through injury.

Arsenal have no new injury worries in defence, although Laurent Koscielny may push for a spot on the bench after training on Saturday following a thigh injury.

Newcastle will welcome Cheick Tiote back from suspension, while Jonas Gutierrex is recovering from a calf problem. Alan Pardew will have an almost full squad to choose from ahead of this home tie after their 5-1 win over Stoke.

For Arsenal, Lukas Podolski may make his first start since August after a good goal against West Ham, with Santi Cazorla dropping to the bench. Wilshere or Flamini may replace Ramsey.

Newcastle will undoubtedly make few changes from their side that won handsomely against Stoke, with Tiote perhaps the only change.
