The first half of the 2013/14 Premier League season has been one of the best and exciting Premier League seasons to date. There has been goals, controversies and a whole lot more. But in the first half of the season, how have Arsenal fared?
The Gunners currently sit top of the Premier League table just ahead of closest challengers Manchester City and Chelsea.
The Gunners have been without a Premier League title since the 2003/2004 season, where they made history and become known as 'The Invincibles' when they went the whole season unbeaten, a feat that hasn't been matched since.
Many Arsenal players have been in top form so far this season, most noticeably, Aaron Ramsey. He is Arsenal's best performer and has struck eight league goals.
During the summer, Arsene Wenger signed a number of players; Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid, Emiliano Viviano on loan from Palermo, Mathieu Flamini from AC Milan and Yaya Sanago from AJ Auxerre.
Since the signing of German international Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid, many pundits have suggested Arsenal can win the League. Since his £42.5 million move to the Emirates, Ozil has contributed to four league goals and a number of assists.
Lead by the Premier League's current longest serving manager Arsene Wenger, Arsenal will try to keep their place at the top of the table. This season could finally be the season when Arsenal get their hands on the Premier League trophy once again.
