The 2013/14 Premier League season has been difficult, yet enjoyable for Crystal Palace so far.

Many different results and goal scorers have made Palace's first season in the Premier League for nine years a good season. But, some parts have been problematic for the club.

The team from Selhurst Park go into the new year in 18th place with 17 points however the man who guided Crystal Palace to the Premier League, Ian Holloway, is no longer in charge. He left the club in October 2013 by mutual contest and was replaced by former Stoke City manager Tony Pulis.

Current top scorer for Crystal Palace is Marouane Chamakh, who has contributed four league goals. Summer signing Dwight Gayle has also helped his team by scoring three league goals so far this season.

As of yet, Tony Pulis hasn't made any signings in charge of Palace but former manager, Ian Holloway made many signings this past summer. Most notably; Marouane Chamakh from Arsenal, Dwight Gayle from Peterborough and Barry Bannan from Aston Villa.

Many people tipped Crystal Palace as definite relegation candidates, but they are in with a fighting chance to beat the drop.
