Tottenham Hotspur's £30m-man Erik Lamela will not be leaving the club in January despite interest from across Europe in a loan switch, according to the Daily Mail.
The Club have warned Italian giants Inter Milan and Juventus that the Argentinian will not be allowed to leave on loan this month, although supposedly a money-back offer may be an option Spurs would be willing to participate in.
Lamela has so far failed to match expectations fuelled by a club-record fee to secure his services, making just three Premier League starts and scoring a solitary Spurs goal in the Europa League.
The ex-Roma man is known for being quick, skilful and is highly rated, but has not adapted quickly to the physical, high-tempo football that is played in the Premier League.
However, he has shown glimpses of his ability on the ball and it is surely it is only a matter of time before he unleashes his full potential.
Experience in England is what is needed, not a loan back to Italy, which is why any advances this January will be met with rejection by the Tottenham hierarchy.
