Arsenal target issues 'come and get me' plea

Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has issued a ‘come and get me’ plea to Arsenal, following speculation that the Gunners are mulling over the idea of signing him this January.

According to the Metro, the Bulgarian star posted a video on his official Facebook page which contained footage of former Fulham star Billy McKinlay backing the idea of Arsenal signing him.

The decision to subsequently post the video on the social media platform has been seen by many as a way of Berbatov providing his own opinion on moving to the Emirates, without practically stating that he is looking to exit Craven Cottage.

Reports yesterday suggested that Arsene Wenger could land the 32-year-old for £2million this month, which is in stark contrast to the hefty sums touted for his other transfer options.

It’s common knowledge that the long-serving French manager is looking to add more firepower to his frontline, but it remains to be seen whether or not he considers Berbatov to be a viable option given his age.
