Published 9 Comments

While many saw in the New Year with their loved ones and in true celebratory style, football managers across the continent presumably greeted 2014 with an immediate call to agents about prospective transfer targets.

Yes folks, it's January and you all know what that means. The winter transfer window lasts for just one month before slamming shut once again, but the sheer weight of rumours and speculation that traditionally accompanies it often make those 31 days seem like an eternity.

The January 2014 window is already shaping up to be a busy one. In the Premier League in particular, a ridiculously unpredictable first half of the season has led to many of the top clubs seemingly bracing themselves to make serious reinforcements for a sustained title push.

With the window now officially open, here, we take a look at 10 transfers we would love to see come off this month.

Have a look at our selections and don't forget to let us know your thoughts.

Which of these transfers would you like to see come off and which do you think stand a realistic chance of actually happening?

Do you disagree with any of the 10? Perhaps there are other players you would like to see these teams sign instead?
