Published Add your comment

Kyrie Irving has been ruled out of the Cleveland Cavaliers' trip to the Brooklyn Nets with a knee injury, reports cbssports

The point guard injured his left knee as the Cavaliers were beaten 71-96 against the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday and will now miss his side's important clash with the Nets.

The clash between the two teams takes great importance with both the Nets and the Cavaliers at 11-21 and still targeting a place in the playoffs.

However if the Cavaliers are to beat the Nets on Saturday, they will have to do it without Irving who will now miss his second game of the season.

It remains to be seen as to whether Irving will be declared fit for the Cavs' match on Sunday when they take on the Pacers once again.

He will be desperate to return this weekend and will be hoping he can make Sunday's clash.
