With four playoff games slated be played this weekend, I will point out a few things you may want to watch carefully....
First off, the games this weekend are gems for football fans. Get ready for high-scoring offenses, hard-hitting defenses and some of the best quarterbacks around.
You’ve got matchups like the highly-anticipated Philadelphia Eagles v New Orleans Saints as well as probably the best game on paper with the Green Bay Packers and the San Francisco 49ers. This looks to be one of the best wild card weekends I’ve ever seen just in terms of the teams playing, not to mention the potential for great and entertaining games.
One thing you need to watch for is dynamic running backs. While many fans know big names like Jamaal Charles and LeSean 'Shady' McCoy, but true NFL aficionados have been dying to watch the next Giovani Bernard and Ryan Mathews play.
The second thing you gotta look for is high level coaching. While Denver Broncos head coach John Fox may win Coach of the Year, the arguably second best coach in Andy Reid will be looking to get his team a big win.
Toss in great up-and-coming coaches like Chuck Pagano, Mike McCoy, and Chip Kelly as well as veteran and SuperBowl winning coaches such as Jim Harbaugh, Sean Payton and Mike McCarthy.
The game you should definitely be watching for is the 49ers v Packers. Green Bay has been great as of late and with star quarterback Aaron Rodgers back, they are looking to move on to the divisional round. On the other hand, San Francisco are looking to at least get past this wild card round and with that stout defense and a dynamic quarterback in Colin Kaepernick that has had success against the Packers, it looks like it may just happen.
And think about it, this is only the wild card round! Enjoy while you can NFL fans.
