It's the transfer rumour that just will not go away - Manchester United have once again been linked with a move for Benfica defender Ezequiel Garay.
The Argentinian international was reportedly a target for Sir Alex Ferguson last season, and was mentioned as a summer transfer priority for David Moyes as well.
And while the move never materialised, Portuguese newspaper A Bola reports United's interest in the player is not dead.
The report claims Moyes is preparing for life after Rio Ferdinand, with the 35-year-old United star reportedly approaching the end of a hugely successful Old Trafford career.
He has been linked with a move to the MLS, although even if he stays at United for another season, his injury troubles mean that Moyes is likely to move to bring in reinforcements regardless.
Garay is thought to have a €20m release clause in his Benfica contract, with the player's former club, Real Madrid, set to earn 50 per cent of any transfer fee if he's sold.
The report claims Garay is once again top of David Moyes's transfer wish list this month as United look to strengthen a squad that has failed to impress so far under the new boss.
United currently sit seventh in the Premier League table, five points behind fourth placed Liverpool.
