Chelsea can have Shaw for £8m + player

Published 5 Comments

Chelsea can have Southampton starlet Luke Shaw if they offer £8 million plus Ryan Bertrand, reports Dave Kidd in the Sunday People

The Blues have been heavily linked with a move for the youngster and, despite the Saints wanting to keep Shaw at the club, they have now conceded that the starlet may well move on in search of Champions League football.

However, Southampton will only let Shaw depart the club if they can have Blues star Bertrand in return.

Bertrand has struggled for chances at Stamford Bridge under Jose Mourinho this season and has been linked with a move to Liverpool in recent time.

And now he could be heading to the Saints as Chelsea try and bring Shaw to Stamford Bridge.

However, if Shaw is to join Chelsea, any potential deal will not happen until the summer as the Saints want to keep the English youngster at the club for the remainder of this season.
