Latest reports from inside the WWE claim that Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan is ‘very close’ to signing a deal with the company to appear at WrestleMania 30.
60-year-old wrestling legend Hogan, who last appeared for the WWE in 2007, has been in negotiations with the WWE over a return since his TNA departure in October of last year, with a view to the legend appearing at WrestleMania 30.
WWE is looking to bring in a number of wrestling legends for the WrestleMania 30 extravaganza and Hogan is reportedly at the top of their list.
Many inside the WWE believe that Hogan is ‘a lock’ for WrestleMania even if he has not yet reached an agreement with the company, while others within the company believe that Hogan and WWE agreed on a deal months ago but are keeping the deal under wraps to allow fan speculation to build before Hogan returns.
Although many fans believe and hope that Hogan will never wrestle another match, however the WWE creative team have been told to work Hogan into the WrestleMania card.
The majority of rumoured matches involve Hogan and John Cena, who is considered the modern equivalent of Hogan. Original reports claimed that WWE was planning on booking Hogan vs. Cena as the main event of WrestleMania but the latest reports claim that WWE is looking to book Hogan and Cena in a tag team match at the April 6 super-show.
Possible tag team matches including Hogan include a bout pitting Hogan and Cena against The Real Americans, Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro. A more likely match would see Hogan team with Cena to take on the team of Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan in the culmination of a storyline which began with Bryan joining the Wyatt Family last Monday on RAW.
Whether Hogan will wrestle at WrestleMania or simply make an appearance is yet to be seen but the rumours remain persistent and one thing all WWE fans can agree on is that Hogan will be in New Orleans on April 6 one way or another.
