Manchester United star linked with Serie A switch

Manchester United centre-back Nemanja Vidic is being chased by Serie A outfit Fiorentina, according to the Daily Mail.

Red Devils captain Vidic has been linked with a move to Italy over the past couple of seasons, however a move has never materialised.

Vidic is out of contract in the summer and is yet to open talks over a new deal with the Premier League champions.

The 32-year-old is no longer an automatic first-team regular at Manchester United as the veteran has struggled with injuries over the past couple of years.

Moyes may be keen on keeping a player of Vidic's experience at the club as both Patrice Evra and Rio Ferdinand could leave the club at the end of the season.

Vidic, who appeared in 13 of Manchester United's 20 Premier League games, could return to the Red Devils starting line-up against Sunderland in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night.
