David Moyes has reportedly been given a hefty transfer budget to use in January and he's going to need it if Manchester United are going to contend for the title.

The Manchester club have been linked with the likes of Koke from Atletico Madrid and Adam Lallana from Southampton but these players are not at the elite level that Moyes requires.

Here are three players that would take the midfield of Manchester United to the next level:

Juan Mata

Over the previous couple of seasons, Mata has been Chelsea's best player. Jose Mourinho is a fool for leaving the Spanish Maestro on the bench and out of the squad.

Mata has heaps of experience in the Premier League and would definitely make an instant impact on Moyes' season. Just what both the manager and player need.

Angel di Maria

This Real Madrid winger plays outstanding football. He has flair, pace and the dribbling skills to out do any defender.

The arrival of Gareth Bale at Real Madrid has somehow pushed Di Maria out of the squad. Moyes must take full advantage of this and pay whatever is needed to secure his signature.

Wesley Sneijder

Sneijder has been linked with a transfer to Manchester United for many seasons now. He has a contract with Galatasaray which expires in the summer so would surely come cheap this January.

Sneijder is just 29, has two great feet and is a proven playmaker. This transfer would tick all the boxes for the midfielder they need.

A transfer like Luke Shaw would also be a very good one, but would not make the instant impact United need.
