A lot of criticism has been hurled Sam Allardyce's way, particularly on social media and some of it is probably justified.
But, he seems to be bearing the brunt of West Ham fans' fury, when in reality they should be directing it at their on-pitch leader, Kevin Nolan.
The chicken-dancing attacking midfielder has revealed what a liability he is, this season more than any other.
West Ham United are in a relegation dogfight - this is not solely the fault of Kevin Nolan, as 'Big' Sam Allardyce and the other players will have to shoulder some of the blame. But, the club's captain has done little to help his side out, at times making their plight an even harder one.
Nolan was sent off following a malicious rake on Liverpool's Jordan Henderson at Anfield on December 7.
The Hammers ended up losing 4-1 and their captain was suspended for three matches.
In his third game back following his suspension, West Ham were away to Fulham with both sides sitting ugly in the relegation zone.
At 1-1 with half-time approaching. Nolan was shown a straight red for an off-the-ball 'challenge' (push and kick) on Fulham defender Fernando Amorebieta.
Fulham went on to beat the 10-man Hammers 2-1.
"Our captain was irresponsible," Sam Allardyde told the BBC. "He's let everyone down and himself."
It is said that Nolan's captaincy is under review.
The captain of a football team should be the shining example, one for the rest of the players to follow suit.
Steven Gerrard is a captain. Vincent Kompany is a captain. Kevin Nolan is a liability.
