Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has drawn up a five-man striker shortlist for the summer transfer window, according to the Telegraph.
It's reported that the list is headed by Atletico Madrid's in-form forward Diego Costa, who has scored 23 goals this season, followed by Porto striker Jackson Martinez and Bayern Munich star Mario Mandzukic.
Wenger is also keeping a close eye on the situations of Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko and Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney, whose contract expires next year.
However, in the meantime, Wenger has turned his attention to Real Madrid's 21-year-old striker Alvaro Morata, and hopes to complete a six-month loan deal for the Spain Under-21 international before the end of the month.
The Telegraph add that Wenger is also considering Fulham's Dimitar Berbatov and Lille forward Salomon Kalou, who spent six years in the Premier League with Chelsea, as potential short-term options.
The Arsenal boss has stepped up his pursuit of a striker after Theo Walcott was ruled out for the rest of the season with a serious knee injury.
