Philadelphia Flyers centre suffers gory cut - keeps playing

If you forgot that National Hockey League players were tough, then this will serve as a timely reminder to you.

Philadelphia Flyers center Brayden Schenn made a perfectly legitimate play on the New Jersey Devils forward Dainius Zubrus right in front of the Devils bench.

Unfortunately for Schenn, the hit was so good that it sent Zubrus falling on to his back, with the blades of his skates flailing around in the air.

The blade flew in to Schenn's abdomen and the reaction from the Flyers star was immediate.

Luckily the cut didn't look too deep and after some medical attention, was able to return to the ice to help the Flyers to a 3-2 victory.
