Under-fire Manchester United boss David Moyes has rubbished claims Fabio Coentrao will become a Red Devil in the coming days.
There were daily reports that Manchester United had struck a deal to bring in the Portuguese to Old Trafford for £12m.
The Real Madrid left-back has made no secret of his love for the English champions and it was also reported that he was left in tears after a deal wasn't successful in the summer transfer market.
However it is believed that the Old Trafford outfit have placed a bid to bring the left back, who has made only four appearances for the Galacticos, in the La Liga this season to Manchester.
But speaking after Tuesday night's 2-1 Capital One Cup semi-final first-leg defeat at Sunderland, Moyes denied such speculation.
"No, that's not true," he insisted.
The former Everton boss though has made assurances that significant funds have been made available to him for this month and the summer transfer window. However according to him, the job of bringing in new faces would be done in the Summer rather than January.
Moyes' side succumbed to their third defeat in a row on Tuesday night as the Premier League champions were beaten by Sunderland in the Capital One Cup.
Moyes is under immense pressure just six months into the job. The fans are losing patience and the pressure is mounting on United's new manager. He will have to quickly sign world class players to regain United's top four finish hope, let alone the title.
Do you think Moyes will sign anyone in the January transfer window ?
