Top 8: Midfields in Europe (1)

Published 12 Comments

For the top clubs in Europe to be successful, a world class midfield is a must.

Some of the finest talents in world football have played alongside each other for Europe's big boys in recent years.

In the past - in the Premier League - we've seen Manchester United possess the likes of David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Roy Keane and Ryan Giggs, whilst in La Liga, we've seen Spanish giants Real Madrid fire with Luis Figo, Zinedine Zidane, Claude Makelele and Guti.

However, GMS will now look to the present day and analyse which stars have gelled so well that their teams can boast the best midfields around?

Of course, the top teams in Europe play in different systems with some sides playing with wingers in a four, and others playing with a playmaker in a five man midfield, however we're going to take a look at the best midfields in Europe - when everyone is fit - and rank them in order from 1-8.
