Manchester United are now the SkyBet 2/1 favourites to land Borussia Dortmund star Ilkay Gündogan.
The Red Devils, who have had a difficult season under David Moyes, have moved past Spanish giants Real Madrid as the new favourites for the player's signature after SkyBet tweeted that United had come in from 5/1 to sign the star.
Despite Gündogan having struggled with injury in this campaign, it's no surprise that the German star is attracting interest from Europe's elite sides.
At 23-years-old, Gündogan has impressed in the last couple of years and will be hoping for a strong end to the 2013/14 season.
Fans of Manchester United will be hoping the star ends his season at their club after a disappointing campaign up to now.
Manchester United suffered their third straight defeat at the hands of Sunderland last night, having previously been dumped out of the FA Cup at the hands of Swansea City and the Red Devils could well enter the market in this January transfer window.
