Mauricio Pochettino could be on his way out of Southampton in the summer.

Italian news outlet TMW have revealed they have exclusively found out the Saints favourite has fallen out with Nicola Cortese, who is now doing everything he can to keep the Argentinian at the club.

Southampton shockingly sacked manager Nigel Adkins last year but have since picked up under Pochettino, but the Italian news agency are reporting they are quite sure the two will head separate ways in the summer.

Initially not liked by the Saints fans, Pochettino has turned things around, and the fans are increasingly happy with the development of the squad, playing an increasingly enjoyable brand of football.

There has been interest in the manager from Spurs previously, but Pochettino could also head back to Spain where he formerly managed Espanyol.

Given the timing of the alleged dispute, this could mean the Southampton manager may not be able to do what he requires in the current transfer window.

Currently ninth in the Premier League table, Southampton had a fantastic start to the season and have only slipped down in recent weeks, and could still sneak their way back up the table.
