Demba Ba was once a fine striker, but now, since his move to Chelsea, his footballing career has been seriously hampered.
Ba once played for West Ham, although didn't manage to make many appearances for the club, with just twelve coming his way. But he did manage seven goals for the Hammers, which meant that wasn't a bad total.
He then moved north, joining Geordie side Newcastle back in 2011 where he made 54 appearances, managing a total of 29 goals which again means he got over a goal every two games.
But perhaps he went one step to far when Chelsea dipped into the market for him. First team football at the Blues definitely wasn't guaranteed and it could be disputed that he moved because of the increase offered in his wages.
And now, it appears that he isn't needed at Chelsea, although remains stuck because of their lack of strikers.
Ba does make cameo appearances for the Blues, but they aren't enough to satisfy a need to making a career for himself.
The goals have dried up for Ba at Chelsea since his move, and he really is an outcast, needing a move away from London one way or another.
But I don't think we'll see it, unfortunately.
