Dortmund boss, Jurgen Klopp, is a fan of the 18-year-old German, and is keen on bringing him in once Robert Lewandowski moves on to Bayern Munich.
The youngster's opportunities would be limited at Dortmund at present, with several good quality wingers at his disposal, including the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Jakub Blaszczykowski.
Following Theo Walcott's injury nightmare, a n opportunity may have opened up for the young German in the Arsenal side and Klopp will be hoping that he takes it.
German newspaper, Bild, have reported that Jurgen Klopp has had the German U-19 international watched on more than one occasion, with the winger not being a regular for Arsenal.
He impressed recently in the 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, and has put in several good performances when given the opportunity over the past 18 months.
Gnabry is typically a winger, and Klopp isn't planning on playing him in Robert Lewandowski's role upfront. But he is hoping to bring in a few players to bolster his squad once the prolific Pole moves to Bavaria.
Lewandowski recently announced that he will be leaving Dortmund in the summer, when he will sign a five year deal with arch-rivals Bayern Munich on a free.
