Neil Lennon will do battle with Manchester United over Sporting Lisbon's Carlos Mane according to the Daily Star.
The 19-year-old has been offered to the Scottish club, however, it appears that Celtic are yet to make a formal offer for the winger.
Manchester United have reportedly been keeping tabs on the player who has represented Portugal at under 15 to under 19 level according to the newspaper.
Whilst Celtic are interested, it is thought that the club are keeping their options before making a move for the player. Mane is yet to score for Lisbon's first team this season but has scored 12 times for his country since he began representing Portugal at youth level in 2009.
Speculation of a move to Old Trafford began back in November when the Mirror reported that Manchester United were planning to move for the winger.
There has been no offer as of yet but that all could change before the window shuts at the end of the month.
A young Portuguese winger going to Manchester United from Lisbon sound familiar doesn't it?
If the 19-year-old is to move to Manchester he will instantly be compared to the superstar that many feel was United's making, Cristiano Ronaldo.
With the likes of Nani looking to be heading away from Old Trafford and questions being asked of Antonio Valencia's ability, Mane may be what United need to rejuvenate their season.
