NFL court case could delay to delay play-offs?

A man from Pennsylvania has filed for an injunction after one of the biggest shocks in wild card history, reports the Baltimore Sun.

Daniel L. Spuck has filed for a “temporary emergency injunction” after a missed call in the week 17 game between the Chargers and Kansas City.

Officials missed an illegal formation that would have allowed Kansas kicker to retake the kick he missed with eight seconds on the clock. If the kick had been successful the win for Kansas would have sent the Steelers through to the playoffs.

Instead San Diego toppled the Chiefs in overtime before beating the much favoured Bengals this past Sunday.

The documents available to view on Pennsylvania online court records show the man requesting the playoffs be delayed a week to ten days.

He is requesting that either a game be played between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Chargers to decide who goes through to play the Denver Broncos or allow the Kansas kicker to retake his kick with the Steelers going through if he makes the kick.

The NFL have yet to respond to the allegations and Mr Spucks requests
