Something has been seriously wrong this season at Old Trafford, and one of the ways to fix this would be success in the transfer window, and to be successful in the window, they must sign the right players in the right position.
5. Luke Shaw – Southampton – England
With Patrice Evra’s possible summer departure, replacement is needed for the Red Devils.
At 18-years-old, Luke Shaw is one of the most promising English players, and he could fit in perfectly at Old Trafford. Fast, attacking and a willing runner, Shaw is exactly the type of player David Moyes' team needs, but he still needs to develop a lot, and to begin with he would have to be cover.
4. Ander Herrera – Athletic Bilbao – Spain
As a deep-sitting midfielder, Herrera would be a replacement for the under achieving Marouane Fellaini.
Holding midfield is certainly a position in need of reinforcement, as Fellaini and Michael Carrick are the only natural occupiers of the position, Ander Herrara could be the player to do that. A brilliant passer, fast and a strong tackler, he should fit in perfectly in the Premier League.
3. Koke – Athletico Madrid – Spain
Another tiki-taka master from Spain, Koke has been the target for many top clubs around Europe, but Manchester looks like his most likely destination.
One of the key players for Madrid this season, he has linked up brilliantly with Diego Costa and David Villa, tearing apart many La Liga defences. Koke is also very adaptable,
able to play on the wings or just off the striker, and at only 21 he still has a lot of time to grow.
2. Ilkay Gundogan – Borussia Dortmund – Germany
Able to play anywhere in midfield, Ilkay Gundogan is the most versatile midfielder in the world, with blistering pace, great tackling and great passing.
Turkish born German playmaker, Gundogan is edging out long time central midfield occupier Bastian Schweinsteiger. This in itself is proof that he is an unbelievable talent, and would be excellent to have in the Premier League
1. Marco Reus – Borussia Dortmund – Germany
One of the most dangerous winger’s in the world, if Reus signed for United it could change their season.
Reus should be able to fit in perfectly at United, as Dortmund and The Red Devils have a very similar game, based on pace down the wing. Not only this, but with the lack of attacking midfielder’s, Reus would fill that gap perfectly, and could form a lethal partnership with Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney.
