Arsenal will suffer a significant blow in their bid to clinch the Premier League title by succumbing to defeat at the hands of Aston Villa on Monday, at least that's according to Hollywood icon Robert de Niro.

The Gunners sit at the summit of the league table with over half of the campaign having been played and, in all likelihood, will travel to Villa Park early next week tasked with regaining the lead from either Chelsea or Manchester City.

It is a task that could well prove to be beyond Arsenal, according to De Niro, who has backed Villa to claim maximum points from the encounter and damage the north London club's title ambitions.

De Niro, alongside Sylvester Stallone, was taking on BBC Sport pundit Mark Lawrenson to predict the outcome of this round of top-flight fixtures and offered the assertion that Arsenal would lose this time out.

Lawrenson, meanwhile, also does not expect the Gunners to win at Villa but believes they will be able to secure a point away from home, with the former Liverpool defender predicting the game will end 1-1.

Arsenal will, however, welcome back Olivier Giroud and Mesut Özil for the trip to the Midlands and remain the clear favourites to win on the night.
