Liverpool & Barcelona target wanted by Everton?

Everton are the latest club rumoured to be interested in FC Twente midfielder - and reported Liverpool and Barcelona target - Dusan Tadic, according to local daily newspaper TC Tubantia.

The 25-year-old has attracted admiring glances from both Merseyside clubs in recent months, with a possible switch to the Premier League looking increasingly likely.

The Daily Mail reports that Reds boss Brendan Rodgers made an enquiry about the Serbian's availability prior to Christmas, as he continues his search for a versatile forward capable of playing across the front line at Anfield.

Tadic is valued at around £10million, and has been watched extensively by Barcelona scouts, who made a personal visit to De Grolsch Veste Stadium earlier in the season.

It's not yet clear exactly how serious Tata Martino is about attempting to bring the player to Camp Nou, nor is it certain that Liverpool will lodge a rival bid for the Eredivisie star's signature.

Irrespective of their alleged interest, all suitors will face an uphill battle to convince Tadic to transfer in the mid-season window, after he revealed his preference to remain in Holland until the end of 2013/14.

"I want to finish the season at Twente," he said. "In the winter there is often a lot of panic buying. I will only be thinking [about a move] if there is a dream club that comes in.

"Moreover, I am not ready to leave Twente. I need the team and this team needs me."
