On the surface Inter Milan probably didn't have yielding any kind of profit in mind when they secured Serie A strike superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic from rivals Juventus in 2006, but sure enough the Swedish talisman continued his travels at an enormous profit margin.

Ibrahimovic eventually signed for Barca in a protracted deal which saw the Catalan giants give Inter £40m plus Samuel Eto'o, with the Cameroon hitman priced at £16.5m for his part in a the blockbuster swap.

Zlatan has continued to win trophies then swiftly move on in a nomadic but wonderful career, which currently has him dominating Ligue 1's goal charts as king of the French capital with Paris Saint-Germain.
