Colts vs. Patriots: Top 5 games in history (1)

Published Add your comment

The Indianapolis Colts travel to Foxborough Sunday to contest the Patriots for the AFC South divisional title, and in doing so will renew one of the greatest rivalries in NFL history.

The two franchises first met each other in 1970 but the enmity between the two teams has really intensified since the 2001 divisional realignment that saw the Colts and Patriots paired together in the AFC South.

Since then they have combined for five Super Bowl Championship, seven AFC titles, and have met each other almost every year.

The Patriots lead the post 2001 series 11-6, coming out on top in the last three confrontations including the 59-24 demolition in Week 11.

With Brady vs. Manning driving the rivalry for over a decade there has been some incredible Colts – Patriots games in recent memory and as Andrew Luck and the Colts look to bounce back from a humbling regular season loss  we can’t wait to see who will come out on top come Sunday.

But for now sit back and enjoy our pick of the top 5 games between the Colts and Patriots.
