The veteran shortstop has a career batting average of .254 and is an All-Star from 2005 and won a Gold Glove award in 2004.

Last year the 33 year-old had 11 RBI’s for the Cincinnati Reds playing in 63 games.

Izturis could provide a good clubhouse presence this year for any young team in need of a bench player with experience.
