Charles "The Round Mound of Rebound" Barkley
NBA Most Valuable Player (1993)
11× NBA All-Star (1987–1997)
5× All-NBA First Team (1988–1991, 1993)
Also known as “Sir Charles,” Barkley was a beast on the boards. He didn’t always have the best physique and may have been a little overweight at some times, but he was incredibly strong and an absolute bully in the paint.
He was phenomenal at getting position and using his girth to get every rebound in sight. At only 6’6, Charles is the shortest player to ever lead the league in rebounds.
What he lacked in height, he more than made up for in weight, tipping the scales at a whopping 252 pounds during his playing days
Now more known for generally making a fool of himself on the television with Shaq and company as an analyst for TNT and on the program Inside the NBA.
A rotund guy with a sense of humor who could board up? The Round Mound of Rebound it is.
