New England Patriot's wide receiver Aaron Dobson has been ruled out of Saturday's divisional playoff game against the Indianapolis Colts with a foot injury, Field Yates reports

Dobson re-injured his foot during the week 17 victory over the Buffalo Bills. He also had problems with the same foot injury earlier in the season.

The Patriots have had problems at the receiving positions this season with the long term injury of Rob Gronkowsi, Josh Boyce and TJ Moe coupled with the arrest of Aaron Hernandez.

Dobson has proved something of a success in his rookie season with 513 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

The Patriots will now rely on the somewhat depleted receiving corps of Danny Amendola, Julian Edelman and Kenbrell Thompkins.

However, Doug Kyed reported on tuesday that a new receiver had been spotted at Patriots practice. It is unclear at this stage if the mystery player has been signed to the active roster or the practice squad. No roster moves have so far been announced at this stage.

The Colts also announced Friday that their wide receiver, Darius Heywood-Bey would also miss the game. They had previously brought in ex- Patriot Deion Branch as cover.
