It's the 11th of January and, as yet, a transfer of note in the Premier League has yet to be completed. But, do not fear, as the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United remain in desperate need for reinforcements.

The priorities for these two great rivals remain the same as they did during the summer transfer window, with Arsene Wenger keen to recruit a striker and David Moyes in desperate need of a midfielder of some repute.

Injury to Theo Walcott has further highlighted the need for another goalscorer at the Emirates Stadium, with Arsenal unlikely to be able to rely on Olivier Giroud for the entire season.

Manchester United, meanwhile, remain without a creative spark in the centre of the field and need one to arrest their recent slide. Another striker would not be such a bad idea either if the latest reports of Robin van Persie's injury are to believed.

Both clubs feature prominently in the newspapers this Saturday, as you can see here...
