Manchester United coach Phil Neville was in Madrid on Sunday to run the rule over Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez, according to multiple reports.
The 19-year-old, who is also on the radar of Arsenal and Chelsea, has impressed during his loan spell at Rayo Vallecano this season.
Niguez played the full 90 minutes in Rayo's 1-0 victory over Getafe and put in a mature performance for the La Liga strugglers.
Reports suggest that Neville may have also been watching Rayo defender Alex Galvez, who Borussia Dortmund attempted to sign last summer.
Neville wasn't the only member of Manchester United's coaching staff on scouting duty on Sunday.
