Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has not agreed to sign for either Barcelona or Galatasaray in the summer.

Reports emerged on Monday that a deal had been struck with Galatasaray, while there have also been frequent links to Barcelona, but the agent of the Serbian centre-back has dismissed the assertion that a deal is in place.

Silvano Martina, representative of Vidic, was contacted by Manchester Evening News journalist Rob Dawson but claimed he 'knows nothing' of an agreement to leave Old Trafford at this stage.

It would appear, however, that Vidic's days as a Manchester United player are numbered given the assertion by Martina only last week that a renewal with the Premier League champions would be highly unlikely.

Martina claimed he would 'rule out' Vidic staying with Manchester United beyond the terms of his current deal, although the 32-year-old has been offered the opportunity to stay with the club.

Vidic has made 288 appearances in eight-and-a-half years with Manchester United, winning five league titles and reaching the final of the Champions League on three occasions.
