Napoli are set to win the race for Liverpool and Chelsea target Jorginho, with suggestions in Italy that the Hellas Verona midfielder will join in an £8million deal, reports talkSPORT.
The 22-year-old Italian has enjoyed a scintillating first half to the Serie 'A' season, prompting a number of admiring glances from a host of European suitors.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has been credited with an interest in bringing the Brazilian-born Italian to Anfield, as he looks to strengthen Liverpool's forward ranks in the January window.
Chelsea have also been mooted as admirers of Jorginho, despite Jose Mourinho's wealth of attacking midfield options at Stamford Bridge.
However, both Premier League clubs look set to miss out on the Verona playmaker, after Napoli agreed an initial £6.24million fee, with a further £2.08million paid depending on Jorginho's success in Rafa Benitez's side.
Italian newspaper Il Mattino reports that talks were concluded between the two clubs after their Serie 'A' match on Sunday, with Napoli emerging victorious as 3-0 winners.
Expect the deal to be officially announced shortly.
